Can anyone tell me about Southwest AZ. ?

Post by Dan McDonough »

I'm heading to Quartzsite, AZ. for a family vacation and I'm working out a way to smuggle at least one dog with on the trip. I have been there twice before and it looks like a terrible place for a dog to be but there is a fair amount of bobcat sign there and I'd like to give it a go anyhow.

I would like to know what the hunting is like there if anyone has dared to put dogs down in that mess of jagged rocks and spiked plants.

Bring a good pair of needle nose pliers!!! The cats down in that country use the culverts quite a bit. They hang close to the towns and feast on the snow birds pets. I have friends who trap that country and do really well. Good luck

Thanks tman, I figured it would be like hunting through a herd of porcupines! I would imagine that hunting in the early morning is the way to go.
