What line of dogs do most people have that are weekend hunters? Dogs that are not holy tyrants around the house. And that are easy keepers. I know a lot a dogs can be trained to be quiet and not tearing things up. But just naturally easy keeping dogs that catch game. With guys who work a full time job.

At the moment I have a Redbone, redbone/black tan cross and a running walker in the house. Both redbones spend most of the time sleeping as well as the walker, but the walker tends to be more active and can get into trouble if not watched all the time.. It also helps to get them out and road them at least once a week or more if you can.

I currently have a redboneXbloodhound and she would be the perfect house dog if I didn't want to hunt her. I also have a HammerX Cameron blue tick male and he is fine as well. The odd time he gets a little loud, but honestly they aren't worse than the next door neighbours cock-a-sh*t.
My wife also has a house cat... its been 2 years and neither dog has gone after it... I think that shows the most self control of any hunting hound... Catch a lynx on a Saturday and come home and not kill the house cat on Monday.
