Re: Tires
The thing you need to understand is that the weather has a lot to do with the tire holding up. A recap passenger or light truck tire in my weather condition will never wear well. You also take a very good chance of tire failure. Anytime you reuse a fatigued casing you are asking for trouble.

I would have agreed with this statement, had I not run a set of Duratrac's. The Toyo's of yesteryear wore way better than the last two sets I've used. The Goodyears are out wearing them by quite a stretch without compromising much in the way of traction. Just my .02

X3 on tread wright,
This is my third pair and the only thing I change is the tread design.
This time I got the b2b grabber and they so far are exceeding the performance I want.
Extremely satisfied with them. 265 75R 16 10ply and run them on my 01 dodge 3/4 ton diesel ext. cab 4x4.
To the uninformed these tires are not capped on worn out casings.
In my opinion the B2B are even better than say some of their tires a year ago.
These are a complete tire and actually say tread wright on the side wall.
I run them on-off road and at highway speed with no difference in performance vs a virgin tire at a fraction the cost of virgin tires. @ $106 each I feel like I am ahead of the game.
Four tread patterns to choose from. I stay away from the howlers as I think they would be to loud on highway.

Re: Tires
Tjsna, no one said anything about worn out casings. I said fatigued casings and if you knew anything about tires you would know a casing fatigues after a full life of use. That tire will not hold up in my climate conditions. What happens when the tire fails and tears off the fender of your truck? Who is taking care of that?

for people who don't know what B2B is. They actually put new rubber over the entire tire from bead to bead. People can knock and diss them all they want i know i am saving money and getting a far better tire then what they are. I like the guarddog tread pattern as it is actually the old goodyear wrangler MTR. One hell of a pattern.

Re: Tires
Different strokes for different folks. Are treadwright tires cool and cheap, hell yah, but in AZ things can get a little hot and that is why I wouldn't run treadwrights. Now if I lived in Montana or Cali I would probably give them a shot. For half the price of some TOYO AT2s it's hard to go wrong.
I know a certain tire man on here is a pretty busy guy, but if he wouldn't mind emailing me a quote on some Toyos in lt265/75R16 I would be happy to pay the man if the price is right.

If you have actually bought the tire from this company and had a bad experience please share cuz i would love to hear it. As far as i can tell you are just assuming about the tire and what you know about something when you have no experience with the actual product. To each his own and maybe im wrong but if i am i would like to hear the story.

Re: Tires
Outlaw13,
I have not bought this tire and nor had a bad experience. I did my homework on it first that is why I am not using them. The company has a first year free replacement second year pro-rated warranty. Not all of their tires are B2B full caps and they have NO Product liability Ins. According to them when I spoke with them. For those that do not know what that means. If you have a tire failure and causes vehicle damage you eat it yourself. But that is not the big kicker because most peoples insurance will cover that. But if you have a wreck and someone is injured you might as well kiss your a@@ goodbye because you have NO coverage nor is the manufacturer going to step up and help. As we all know people these days are looking for a way to sue anyone and this is not a problem I want to be in the middle of. Treadwright may build a great product but every manufacturer has warranty issues. Just a word for thought.

Re: Tires
Kevin, What's your opinion on two-ply vs. three-ply sidewalls. I noticed that the AT2s and the Kellys are both two ply, is that correct?

Zach,
The 3ply is nice but it is not a necessity.

Re: Tires
Thanks. My BFG AT KOs got a sliced sidewall a while back. Never could figure out what sliced it on the trail as there was no obvious rock sticking out. I had to use like 7 or 8 plugs in the sidewall to limp back to the highway so I'm a little reluctant to "downgrade" to a two ply sidewall. Have you heard of any sidewall problems with the Toyos or Kelly's? What's your opinion on Duratracs or Cooper SSTs?

Re: Tires
Duratrac is very nice stay away from the cooper I don't like it. That is the problem if you are going to slice the sidewall it will slice the 2 or the 3 ply.
