I dont know about that last post, but a whole shitload of guns were confiscated during Catrina. There was a Federal Lawsuit regarding it and subsequent laws were passed to try and prevent "authorities" for trying to confiscate guns in the future, if my memory serve me right. Bottom line though is that YOU protect your civil rights you can't depend on someone else to do so.
