Remember when? Old Shade Tree

Maybe this will give us a break from boarhunter! I was just reading a thread and somebody mentioned Bruce and his hatred for Airedales and it got me to thinking. (Yes, I miss Bruce. He sure didn't have much middle of the road to him and he would let you know it. QUICK)
I have never enjoyed a site as much as when Bruce, Mike Leonard, Dawg, Nolte, and it wouldn't have been the same without Ike (Dennis Ingram) and his thousand identities, Posse, etc. and the other regulars. Talk about some trash talking and arguments, now there were some good ones, but it seemed that everyone took it in stride for the most part. Do any of you guys think the same? Tell us your favorite memory from that site if you want. It wasn't a place to go if your feelings were easily hurt was it? But man what a good time.
(PS. Buddy not making a comparison to what you have done by any means, your site is top of the line and "Thanks" for it. Just talking about what was going on then.)

You forgot Cameron2.Him and Houndawg were the ones that really liked to dawg pile on old Ike.It was pretty entertaining alright.

Yes it was and then when Ike started telling Dawg how he was going to whip his butt and Dawg started comparing himself to a Mercedes and Ike to a VW you knew it was going to be on. Then let Ike and Posse get to talking about their dogs and it even got better. The company I worked for had a clause about visiting non work related web sites, glad I retired before they checked me. It was like an addiction!!

I don't have any hard feelings, I miss those days too.. I was just as addicted back then, and thought for sure I would get fired over it, I had my Computer screen turned as far as possible so that when someone walked past my Cube it was blatently obvious that I was on it.

Pretty hard for me to have hard feelings.. I make no Bones about it.. I'm probably the Crappiest Moderator in the history of Forums, when it comes to making decisions and keeping things in line. I don't want to see my report card, I expect people will sort it out them selves.

Sometimes I still regret banning IKE, but I can at least say that I tried to do something.. I never expected it would be the right thing...

You did what ya thought ya had to do. And people should have respect for you for that, end of story. But it should be a learning moment for all. None can take the advice from those that come from an everyone gets a trophy, and all is kumbiya back ground. Because mostly they tend to be the squeaky wheel type. That couldn't make a patch on a houndsmens arse. Because they don't no chit from shinole. Unfortunately the same form of cancer that plagues our political system. You no what I mean, I have a hound now and I have all the answers, because they are (entitled). And don't dare damage there self esteem!!!!

Buddy, you are 100% top of the line in your handling of people (hard enough till you get houndsmen involved then it triples) or you wouldn't be where you are now. You realize that I meant no harm by this post and "Thanks" for that, it was a fleeting thought that flew through this simple mind and was posted just to see how many people remembered and what they remembered. All in fun. Thanks for your post, and the participation that you have and the people that have spoken up for you and given credit to your honesty in dealing with people tells the whole story--Case closed on that and I appreciate your efforts.

Im a reader not a poster but i loved ole dawg and ike throwing down, the knowledge of mike leonard a few others those were the good ole days. There was a young kid car kimmel i think and others they grew up in the hounding world right there i know i did. Rest in piece bruce sorry i never made it to one of your cookouts/ get togethers ? I find my self wondering what ever happend to those guys i hope all is well with them
