coon hunter and coon owner
my pet coon me and dad got when we chopped down a dead tree. got three babies and bottle feed them tell they got big and have one still 30 pounds and is 5 months old

My Jagdterriers would have a serious disagreement with that coon. I always thought they would be cool pets though. My Dad said he had one as a kid.

What are you feeding him?!!!!
Its illegal to keep coons as pets in a lot of states, but a surprising number of hound owners have one. I have one acquaintance with a 25 lb or so pet coon that sits on his shoulder as he goes about work on his farm. The hounds know to leave it alone when its with him. I went to look at a litter of pups once and the guy kept his coon in a cage right at the end of the row of kennels. Those hounds were a pretty noisy buch. That guy had to move out of town eventually...
