Starting up a pack for bobcat

Anybody got some good tips on breeds/breeders for running bobcat in northwest Oregon?

Their are a lot of good bobcat hunters out there. Ask around and you will be given some names. OSDA Is having there yearly meeting April 19 some will be there. Why would you want to get into bobcat hunting when the cost for out of state hunting and the time it takes are a large time and money consideration. No hunting until fall training season is a long time off. You should have time to locate a few. Starting with a pup without a tutor or old dog is a tuff way to go. Good luck. Mainly want to get into running bobcat because I can't run lion or bear here without being an outlaw. No offense intended but running em only on coons doesn't sound as exciting to me. I live within 45 minutes of Oregon so the distance not as big of a deal. But I am sure Oregon gets their share for an out of state tag.

Find a hunter you can trust and go with them for at least a year before you buy a pup if your serious about learning the game. Its cheaper and easier than buying a old dog. Odds are the guy will sell you a started or pup and help you out if you can build a good relationship.
