Houndsmen Magazine Sample.

Post by Buddyw »

Hey everyone,

Just wanted to share one of the Articles that we had in the First Issue of the Magazine.

They are getting sorted out and shipping out tomorrow from the print shop.

Once the first issue is in the hands of all those who have paid, we'll release a Download version for everyone to Take a look at and read next week. This is all new to us so we are trying to figure out how to make sure it's fair for everyone. If anyone wants their subscription back because we might offer a free version ONLINE version please let us know we would appreciate any feedback.

Here is a link to the article with Garmin.

That was a very good article. I think it's a good idea to release the first version of the magazine..basically everyone is gOing to see what they missed out on by not subscribing and head on over to your website and purchase a subscription

Congrats on getting the Magazine out! I have heard from folks in WI who received free copies that the Photos are nice, the layout professional, overall a nice Rag.

However the comments were that it appeared to be a Promo tool for Garmin! I know that early on your plans were for the Magazine to be Part Stories and Pictures and Part DU Supply Catalog. This was what the negative comments I received reflected.

Also as you and I have discussed the Online Book gives DU and your advertisers lots of tools to promote Products and services. I hope you expand this concept.

The Printed Magazine is sure nice but your comment above ""If anyone wants their subscription back because we might offer a free version ONLINE version please let us know we would appreciate any feedback." may have merit. I for one would be pissed if I paid you MONEY and others were getting FREE passed out Promotional Magazines as well as having it available online!

Again Congrats and Good Luck!

Mike,

I'm not sure yet. But as with all my customers if they don't like what we do they can expect a full refund. $20 dollars is not nearly enough to risk my reputation.

I'm like you, I can get online copies of magazines but I Still prefer to receive them in the mail where I can read them in person.

Can't make everyone happy.

You gotta have a hard copy for the back of the crapper for when you are contemplating the universe.

No disrespect intended. That's where my mags end up, that's all.

I think a limited number of articles in the magazine released online would be a better idea then releasing the whole magazine online for free.
