Thanks Andy I would appriciate it at least if they were together and I lost them I could find them all. I spent hours hiking out the track the dogs mapped out on my gps but eventually I got sick of hiking around in the dark and excepted the fact that I wasn't gonna find them and I was just out the 260 dollars for the 2 collars I lost that night

I just got an alpha to solve that problem.
I lost one tritronics collar on the first or second time out. We were chasing bears, but somehow one hound got in a daytime battle with a raccoon in a river and lost the tritronics. I found him hunkering on a sandbar covered with coon tracks. This is a GRWCH dog who normally loves to swim and I had to carry him to shore. Must've been a nasty fight, but I didn't see it.
Not sure why the Tritronics seem to come off more easily than the other collars. Anyone else noticed this? Got a theory?

I lost some off the beagles when I was using square D buckles. switched to the other style (double) buckle and never had another problem.

I had Alpha collars come unbuckled in thick brush 3 times shortly after I got the system, have had telemetry collars for years with no problem. I now ziptie the Alpha buckles but that is a pain. Any ideas of something better? Running hounds with 3 collars, GPS, telemetry and regular.

Soon as I got the alpha I pinched the middle part of the buckle because it can slip off. I've heard buddy has some aftermarket collars for the alpha you might try as well. Mike Martell setup would probably be a good bet as well
