Please look up the following, they are all good Democrats..... Wayne Pacelle- Jane Miller-Spencer Lennard- Brooks Fahy from OreCat-- Predator Defense Institute--- Big Wildlife and the Humane Society....... Now how could these Democrats fail you?
I'm not sure I follow your logic? You caved because you hunt hounds and appears to be your passion found only on these boards, near as I can figure? That makes you closer aligned to us than those listed above.....Correct?

Mike,
You certainly have a ton of drive and patience. And as far as I'm concerned there is a place in heaven, and the HALL OF FAME for ya for your efforts.
Take care, Willie
Cry to the heavens and let slip the dogs of war. For they must feed on the bones of tyranny. In order for men to have freedom and liberty

Re: What do you think?
the right to assemble and bear arms comes in the form of a voters box and a pen quite often these days. the fact that you lost by a small margin means you just have to get better organized to win.the antis always bring their A game.you will need to bring yours .we won in maine last time by a not so comfortable margin. i think we are alot better organized now,but you can guarantee the antis arent coming to lose this vote again.they to are trying new tactics and better organization to sway the vote .of course every houndsmans vote counts especially in a tight race, but we are a small minority. houndsman need those votes from the general public . thats where good p r comes in .

Mike I do respect you for your efforts to regain hound hunting rights. I have always donated when ask in past to that cause. Not that I can donate enough to really make a difference, when the opposition gets donations from folks like Bob Barker. A money match we can never accomplish in my opinion. If I were aligned closer to people you say are democrats , would have donated to them. I don/t know how any of them vote nor do I care.
I have always faired better in life as a blue collar worker when the democrats were in the white house, so they have got my vote. Al

Al, judging by your post you worked for some form of union or bargaining unit because they always push their members to vote to keep democrats in power with promises to always better their contracts. Because if I'm reading your post correctly you would rather vote your paycheck than your liberties. Look at the link I provided above and the majority are democrats with a voting record that wipes their ass with our constitution. I'm not saying all Republicans are good either but they are way less likely to sell out the American citizens personnel liberties than the Democratic Party by a long shot!

Re: What do you think?
Our hunting rights should not be a partisan issue. You guys in Oregon live in a state whose legislature is controlled by democrats, so you need at least several democrats on your side. What if one of these democrats is on the fence and comes on this site and finds all these posts? They will probably think most hound guys are a bunch of tea party nuts that will not vote for them anyway.

Tea party nuts? Tea party is a group of folks that support the Constitution, less Government, freedom and Independence. Defined by the Democrat party as an outright bunch of racist, radicals & terrorist?

Re: What do you think?
I am a proud member of the Tea Party and am no way a radical. God needs to be put back in our schools and all democrats need to be ousted from office and 2/3rds of the republicans! All these elected reps from the pres down swear to uphold the constitution! DO IT and the majority of the people would not have a problem. The job of this government is to deliver our mail on time and protect our shores and they have failed miserably at both!

Spot on! Both parties leave much to be desired and have abandoned we the people. I just cling to one party as the lesser of the two evils.....Until we repair our broken system, I support the Tea party as well and hope to reform the GOP....
Ted
Once in awhile, you find a good solid Democrat that supports what we stand for, but you are more likely to be struck by lightening! I and no others should ever tell another how to vote. I feel if you do your own due diligence? Own hounds & guns, you will figure it out fast....Just an opinion.........I wanted to get some voter registry cards in the hands of those young hunters that aren't registered and get them to turn out....Please join the FRTHC and we can have some discussions pro and con about our candidates and from there, vote your conscious.....
Hope you can bring the wife and kids and be involved in the club....I see all you young guys/ Gals and the kids and can't abandon this fight! Dang it....Need you to also show up so we can pass some bobcat competition club hunts!
Take Care!

Re: What do you think?
Look I am probably more far right than most of you guys are.
I just think it is a mistake making online posts on a hound hunting site lambasting everybody in a certain party as gun grabbers and destroying our rights etc. My guess is most hound hunters vote conservative already anyway, so lambasting politicians because they are in the democratic party will probably not sway 10% of the voting democrat hound guys. I believe far more damage could be done by offending fence sitting democratic office holders, whose support we need that might stumble on this site.
I think it is fine lambasting politicians that have voted against us or are working against us. I just think it is a bad idea lambasting them just because of party affilation. I am afraid you guys undervalue the potential asset that a democtratic office holder might be that is on our side. In polotics influence is everything.
Didn't New York get a bear chase season because of support from a Democrat governor?

Re: What do you think?
I live in Liberty County Texas, it used to be a democratic stronghold. There is not a democrat standing in Liberty County. Why, because the democrat party of today is not the democrat party of the past. If the republicans don't straighten out pretty soon, there may be none of them standing either.
Re: What do you think?
Truly, Im not on this site a whole hell of a lot, but I do check it periodically. I really think both sides on this debate have valid points. I just had to chime in and say, why is it not right to try to influence people to vote in a direction? Havenet you ever seen cable tv 6 months before an election? I feel like one of the big duties we have as voters is to inform other "on the fence" voters to a side by giving the logical, informative reasoning as to what their choice should be? Maybe im wrong, but in todays society of a bunch of reality tv watching, social media addicts, I think we should be doing our damndest to make people see whats truth vs. fiction, because so many people are misinformed. Just my two cents.
