Alpha Problems
Ran the beagles today and the cedar swamps are full of water, could here dogs swimming and jumping threw water a hundred yards deep, started loosing collars shortly after. Ran 2 1/2 hours and hardly ever had GPS signal on any of the six collars but had decent com. And my map screen would flash to night colors off and on? Running tomorrow and hoping for the best.

Re: Alpha Problems
Tape over the charging contacts, that seems to solve the problem when running in water for me. Don't know what the deal is with the map screen.

Re: Alpha Problems
I haven't had that happen yet with my Alpha, but I do recall one day when I was running the astro with dc20 and dc30 collars and all the collars lost GPS signal for an hour or so in the heat of a race right where they had signal several times before. I got home and downloaded the collar tracks and there was nothing on any of them for that time frame. Must have had a glitch in the satellites for a little while is the best explanation I could come up with....Budd Denny wrote:Well I put 3 hours on the dogs in the same spot as yesterday and never lost signal once with all the collars...chalk it up to bad GPS signal day
