Thanks Bud, sure wish had some hare here near my place. How tough have you found it to break your beagles off trash? How many pups have you culled to find dogs like Gracie? You sure have a good handle on those. How much do they weight on average, how tall on average? Really enjoyed. Al

Pups are started at a very young age (8-10 weeks old) on hare or feral rabbits and honestly trashing is never a big issue. Dogs average 14 inch and 30 lbs depending on the time of year.
And I have went threw a lot of dogs but the numbers are getting less with each generation.

Thanks Brian, I wish they were as good as we would want them to be but we are improving with every generation. With condition's the way they are now I should be able to run a hare with my house dogs...LOL.
When winter rolls around that's what will separate the want to be hare hounds from the real snow hounds, and there will be some more cutting from the team.
