dc 50 problems
I just purchased 4 dc50 collars and a 320 last week . First time out they worked great . Second time out they all connected right away . Went hunting and caught a lion in a rock pile all the collars showed treed. We got back to the truck and I turned them off they were all blinking green like normal. On the way home I looked at the 320 map it showed 3 dogs where I parked the truck and turned the collars off but 1 collar had the last location as where we caught the lion. I turned that collar back on and it would never up date location. I deleted that collar from the 320 and re added it. it now showed current location but will never update the new location. The other 3 work fine. Any one have a idea how to fix this?

Re: dc 50 problems
I called garmin and did another update on the 320. Then removed collar again and re added it. Same result they said it is broke . My buddy also bought 5 dc 50s this month and in 8 total days of hunting between us we has 3 out of 9 dc50s that have to go back to garmin. Im not impressed. Glad I decited to keep telemetry to double up on the dogs. Cant trust the dc50s yet. When the work I love them they just need to work out the bugs maybe they should have waited to release them.

I've been thinkin of purchasing some 50's. There's been some bad reviews and not so many good reviews. Have they got the glitches figured out?

1 Glitch that I hate is, And this happens a lot. When you go to shut the collar off it locks up. Light turns a steady red.. Only way to get it back is to take out the Batt. An put it back in.VERY ANNOYING !!,!!

BigBear,
I hear more complaints about the red light than I would like. But to save you from removing the battery, you can hold the power button down for 20 seconds to reset it. I'll get you updated if something happens to fix the red light issue.

Thanks Buddy, I'll give that a try.

Holding the on/off button down worked for me.
