Garmin collars question

Okay here's the deal bear season starts Monday , there's no where around that has collars that's open between now and then . I'm missing a Antena on one of my collars , I still want run my dog but now have no collar . How bad will this effect range and is there any alertnative to fixing it.

With an antenna missing for all practical purposes you might as well not have a collar. Surely one of your hunting buddies has a spare antenna they would loan you. Hope you can work this out. Good luck.

They run alphas lol I still got the astro the dinosaur .

take some copper speaker wire, form a loop and tightened that down with the screw. works fine, just not as durable and won't stand up in the air, unless you slip it through a section of airbrake line or some other half-way stiff tubing and zip-tie it down. All those factory antennas are is wire and a sleeve. make it yourself and get out there.

Use an alpha antenna, or cut a wire about 18.5 inches and it will get you through the day.
