Allen Dogs

Post by gunsrock38 »

I'm kind of curious how many of you guys use Allen dogs to catch bobcats? I've got a 3 year old that is gamey and does well on coons and lions, but I have yet to catch a bobcat with him. I think he can do it. It seems that he gets overly excited when running a track and gets sloppy, and not to mention the constant rock piles we end up in. I've been doing some scouting with a buddy and we found an area where it's a lot more easy running and there are quite a few cats so I hope we can start stacking them up when the season opens here in SoDak. Just want to hear some thoughts on it. He's out of Ace 2 and Kim.

This dog should really work! I have run a lot of these dogs and 2 of my best dogs on cats are littermates to ACE 2

You are correct a couple of catches, and get out the stretcher boards.

Have fun!

Good to hear someone has had good luck with dogs very close in relation to this one. I will let you know how he does as the season goes.

Only 2 1/2 weeks left until it opens so hopefully we can get some snow.
