jc and stitch

Post by Old dog »

c is hunting a nice young female named stitch this week end. the weather looks perfect and he is going t start roading her in ten minutes. I have seen stitch in action a few times when she was a pup and she is a classy little female so we may see a good hunt this weekend.

Did the end up with any snow? If a team get lucky with a bit of good fresh snow that might just be the golden ticket for this deal.

No Snow now, but it does every winter alittle. Most the time it's rained off fast!! I'm talking about the designated areas for the contest.

jc hunted till midnight in the rain. nothing was moving and they didn't get one going. had prior commitments for early sunday so he is done for the weekend. stitch has one treed cat. so far, every dog entered from the Padgett kennel has proved to be able to tree a cat alone! this is a feat few can achieve and considering that they are all young dogs, my hat is off to JC Padgett! awesome work jc.

next weekend, Robin Powel is up. I have heard great things abut him and his dogs, so we have a good chance of his dog knocking ringer off the top of the board. good luck Robin on you're hunt.

after texting skippy last night we did run a couple cats. she ran the 1 that gave sunny the slip . had a 4 min jumped race and hit the road. race just ended. must have held its scent. So I was kinda on the pissed side of things and just started heading home. came around a corner where I have seen a cat cross the road 4 times this year. there it was :D . turned her loose and the race was on. ran it 4 about 5 mins and it was coming back towards the road. but back up the road about 400yrds. she hit the road looked around went back in and threw out a few im trying to locate barks but kept looking. walked around with her for about 10 min and nothing. went back to where she was trying to locate and couldn't see anything. the flir did pick up some heat where there were some holes at the base of a windfall. but that's all I know. loaded up and called it quits. hunted stitch for 20 hours. ran 4 treed 1.

I have to say that is impressive Jc.I can't even buy a cat track over here.If it weren't for the fox i wouldn't be doing much.Hopefully my luck will change for the hunt this coming weekend.

Al, Have you been hunting with John Warner? Have not heard from him in awhile? I bought two dogs from him and they are doing a great job for me. I have two young dogs out of Insane X that are exceptional and hunting with the dogs I got from John, were easy to break and both are super hard tree dogs and locate good. Just curious. Sounds like JC is knocking em dead? If he don't sell all his power dogs!

Dan. I am sure any body that buys one of jc's dogs will be adding a lot of power to their pack but don't be so foolish to think he will part with his absolute best. last time I was in the woods with his "A" teem, it looked like to me that he could sell down to one and still have some serious power.....and that was like sixty or more cat races ago and god only knows how many fox and bear and all that trash he lets them CATCH when he gets bored. jmo :beer
