good bobcat lines michigan
good bobcat lines michigan
Been hunting a few years now and going to be looking for another pup in a couple years...trying to do some quality research ahead of time. What lines are having success on cats in Michigan? Don't' care about breed, just cat bred dogs. Heard good things about the john ray line of blueticks and jonet plotts?? Would like to hear more about them and others also. Looking for honest opinions. Thank you
Re: good bobcat lines michigan
Ray's dogs are hard to beat! They are some of the coldest nose dogs alive and they are breed to catch game!

yeep I go with Jonet plotts.
Re: good bobcat lines michigan
I have hunted with Ray and his dogs a few times and they are hard to beat. That Line goes back a long ways.

Thanks for the responses. More info would be greatly appreciated as it is hard to find good info on dogs in this area for some reason. Seems most guys on this site are from the western part of the country. Saw some ray bred dogs on a cat a few weeks ago and they kept the pressure on it. Heard dollins blood has good success in MI also?? Seems like I see mostly walkers around here, some blueticks, and that's about it...lots of bear guys with plotts but haven't run into many cat hunters with them.

cfanno01, I would also look out side your state for blood lines and dogs.

I'm not opposed to looking elsewhere, I was just trying to narrow the search and see what guys prefer in my area. I have a 2yo duncan/smithurst b&t from Wyoming that is quickly becoming my best dog, but it cost me more to ship her as it did to buy her haha. No regrets tho
