Re: dog food question
not that anyone probably cares but i went ahead and got some of this Inukshuk dog food. read a bunch of reviews and what litle research ive done it looks like decent food. it comes in 3 formulas 26/16, 30/25 and 32/32. i got the 26/16 to see if the dog likes it and performes well with it. maybe jump up a level if it seems like the dog is stayin together

Re: dog food question
i realize that, but every food ive checked on that site comes out below average even some good food people on this site feed get bad grades, im goin from reviews of people who have actually fed their hounds the product not what a person at a lab table says. not saying their wrong, just real world opinions mean more to me

Here's my take.....it's worth what your paying for it....
"real world" reviews are far from reliable. If you have never tried anything better, what your feeding is the best, right? I can tell you of several people who think they are feeding good food and their dogs are in great shape when in reality, they just don't know any better. I take a lot of pride in feeding my dogs the best food I can buy them, along with fresh meat. I use Nutri Source Super Performance. It is a 5 star rated food. It's expensive when you consider just the purchase price, but when you realize how little you feed the dogs and how well they do on it, it's not expensive at all compared to anything else I've used.
Like I said, just my .02

I'm afraid I can't say it any better then what Scott said. The only thing I'll add is that dogs are meat eaters and especially sinse you can get meat for free, everyone should be feeding their dogs as much meat as they can.

Try out acana and orijen.
They are sister brands both made here in Alberta. I have not found a better kibble that I don't have to order online. Some disagree, however I feed 75% kibble 25% raw meat and bones. Best of both worlds. I run my dog, and those I am training a minimum of 100 miles a week, paired with a 5 mile leashed walks everyday. They require the best food i can find to stay in optimum shape. I have experimented with every premium food I can get my hands on. Acana is the best Imo. Their line of foods start at 30% protein and 16% fat. Go up to 33% protein and 17%fat.
It doesn't hurt to support a Canadian brand too eh?
People who think they know everything are a great annoyance to those of us who do.
