Thanks old dog, I thought I'd done my homework. I'll go $26 on Jose because I think it's kind of a joke and I am a cheap/ass . What if he/she wins. Will I get to know his/her name then? Is he in witness protection? Is he flying in from a faraway land? So many questions...?
JC, I don't think cheapness is the culprit in your Calcutta. Confusion and lack of giving a shit because this contest will be no judge of who owns the best cat dog in the world, may be. I do think it would get more interesting if you entered more dogs that have been tuning up the cats for this contest. Only kidding, dude, I think this contest is totally legit.

I want to play!! SO, I put $30 on Sam and Bess each. $35 on Conners and Jose each.

There will be a Judge that will confirm the dog did catch a cat !!! The dog will be judged on that period and not the manner the dog used to get it caught. They are to many variables to say one is better than the other.
I also think this would show if you have a "cat dog" or a "cat pack" and would stop the piggy backing that many dogs will do.
