dhostetler, I assure you it was an isolated instance, hahaha. I have heard that lynx actually get outcompeted by bobcats, not sure if there is any legitimacy there. I have lynx in a few areas here and can think of 3 spots where I have found both "together" at times but the lynx stay high when the snow gets deep, the bobs come down or move to a pocket. I have definitely seen evidence of bobcats relocating because of lions or coyotes but have also had snow tracks of both cats on carcasses. On the same line of thought... my most consistent bobcat "spots" see little lion traffic.
