Several years Al and the dog died at 11 years old still doing it. The dog was never abused in a any way with switches or e collars. It was just the way he was. Agravating at times but usually a pleasure to hunt.

Thanks Mark. Need to say being consistent is a must to having a clean pack in my experience. That can be very tough at times in this terrain, one reason have always felt those older dogs who alert you trash is around is priceless. And as I learned not all will alert you. Without an e-collar it was for sure more of a challenge. Al

I have never owned an over broke dog of the calibur you guys were talking of and if did wouldn't keep one as most dogs have enough faults without that being one. Jc she has been on a lot of cat races for here she has been on close to 100 trees i would guess if she jumps it its pretty well over. Some of you westcoast boys need to load up and come out for a hunt we do have dogs here that catch over a few cats in a life time. Andy

The way your always complaining about cat population I figured you only treed around 10 a winter. Nothin wrong with your population with those numbers.

Andy, You have never went to the snow, seen coyote tracks and put your dog on it to set it up. If it took the coyote you tuned em up and then go on and see a cat track and the dog acts like it's being set up, and won't take it ? Or see a dog that drops back behind the rig when roading by trash. I call that over broke!! The dogs should go right by like their is nothing there. And if a young dog takes it,then it should just look back and then keep roading and not be at your feet afraid it's going to get worked on. The same when tracking, the dogs should stay with the track and not come back if a dog or dogs hit a trash track. JMO

Varmit, yes I have seen that but in my opinion that's not over broke. Todd have never been one to put up high numbers. What's the deal with your Slash dog? Andy
