CAT DOGS NEVER DIE!

Post by 1bludawg »

Cheyenne ,my old cat dog passed away at 12 years old.She could do it all.Probably not as good as the super dogs but she was sure above average.A mix of bluetick, black and tan, walker, running dog and a little shepherd .Many of her ancestors were also complete cat dogs .It's always a sad day when one of the good ones dies but she always did it her way and she'll live forever in my memory.

Sorry to hear. As you know The wife & I adopted her litter mate, Buddy, he did great winter before last, hard to believe he had such wheels at ten & half, however this past winter he just lost it. Still looks great, runs loose most of the days here on the place, has become wife/s shadow. Everyone who comes by thinks he is a sweetheart, we thought he was unable to breed, big surprise he now has become a romeo, female a cross creek came in heat & he had to be locked up. Al

Thanks guys, only another houndman could know what she meant to me .For most of her life it was her,a pup and a fat old man chasing the varmints up,down and around these steep Oregon mountains. Many of the canyons and mountains we treed cat in and on i had been in as a boy over 45 years earlier. Her great, great ,great grandfather ole Rock had shown me the lay of the land all those years ago .Those places take on special meaning in an old mans twilight years, never to be forgotten !
