Saving a track to alpha

Just wondering if there is a way to save a track to my alpha not the dogs track just where I walk with the unit. Like when I walk down a trail in the woods I have a blue line I would like to save that to have for good. After a while it goes away but if I walk through the woods I don't want that saved so basically I would like to map out more trails that are not on my gps so it can help me get to dogs easier. Thanks for any info on how to do this

Go into your track manager and save the track. I believe you have to archive it and "show on map"...I'm still playin with it so I'm not 100% sure.
