I'm with Larry, I have had several johnsons in the past and they worked extremely well. I use wildlife magnum re-chargeable, they are 12 years old now and still going.

Have used Johnson collars for years and really like them. I like the "C" size better. I think they are 1200 hr. Most any hound can pack the bigger D size, 1600hr, ones around easily too.

I agree with kdrchuck- c size 8000 hr- but some of my dogs are in the 35-40lb range and by the time you put shock colloar, tracking colloar and regular collar it seems like alot for such a small dog. I also think they are better for the pups when i let them run loose on the farm.

We have a couple Johnson and a couple Wildlife sealed battery collars.. Like them both.. Our Johnsons are the D battery and I use them on my "bigger" dogs because of the weight and size... I would probably go with the C size next time... Really great customer service and they have (or had) some great sales.. Which is why I ended up with the bigger collars...

I also suggest the C size, have been using them 13 yrs now, have tried other brands but always come back to johnsons, nothing better IMO.
