Heck I don't know. Maybe. I know they catch a lot for me. Lil gyp pushed a coyote pretty hard the other day. Coyote tried to jump on top of these people's roof of their house. It was comical to say the least.

The reason I ask is because a July man over in Mn. has a theory that there may have been Saluki put into the July blood at some point and that would be one of the clues. The three clues are some off the color patterns like the black and cream colored dog pictured standing funny. The second is the flagging on the tail, back of the legs and behind the ears. The third is the way they run. Salukis are the fastest dogs over distance in the world and they usually don't start out like a greyhound off of the mark. They typically get going rather slow compared to what they are capable of doing. As the race progresses they run harder. It's those traits that pop up in some Julys that lead him and others to belive that some Saluki blood had been used to augment what ended up becoming the July hound. I'm sure there are more devoted July men that might have something to say about it. I'm just a good listener when it comes to Julys. I've only had experience with a handful of them.

I do have one guy I could call. He's got an entire room in his house devoted to July history. I'll see what I can turn up.

Well do yourself a favor and stay away from them. For the most part they are a sorry ass breed. I pretty much wont have anything to do with the majority of them nor their breeders.

That's just what the Mn. man says. There seems to be a strain that is hard to beat though.
