*Big Spring Boar*

Post by StormyRidgeOutfitters »

These are a few pictures of a bear Stormy Ridge Outfitters was able to harvest this spring. This bear was shot with a bow and will score high in the pope and young record books. Here at Stormy Ridge Outfitters we have the opportunity to train dogs year round and was able to show some dogs in training how a successful bear hunt starts and ends.

Thanks guys, Darvin we cut his track coming down a hill, but it was probably two days old. Anyway we cold trailed it through a lot of country and then finally got it to tree in the evening. It was one of those hunts where you were super proud of your dogs! It seems like Utah has a lot of color bears right now. Are you still thinking of heading down?

Thanks,

Mort,

Yea thats what i ment to say, man thats a good dog, i really enjoyed hunting behind that dog.

But as for the pups their rocking! The both of them are already rigging, trailing, and treeing their own coons and other critters as well :D :D

Let me know if you ever have another batch id like to takem all off your hands buddy!

big apring bear

Post by StormyRidgeOutfitters »

Gabe,

We started this bear with six dogs. The track was old and it was kinda wishful thinking. Two of those six trailed it through all day and jumped it in the evening. I found were the bear and dogs crossed another road a long ways from where we turned out and was able to get a pile load of fresh dogs on it. I would post a pic of the dogs treeing but I'm not smart enough. Anyways I think we had fifteen to twenty dogs at the tree. It was pretty fun.
