Hicks/poacher bred plotts.
Can anyone tell me anything about their history and the dogs in general. I hunted with a young gyp of this breeding the other day, we dumped her in a race that has been going for several hours, about another hour and a half into it we catch a crossing and her and a weems bred gyp are way ahead of the other dogs running silent with their heads in the air. Just curious if that is a common trait seen in hicks and poacher bred dogs, to some she would've been extremely fast but when we caught the rest of the dogs up not a one of them was panting very hard or tired acting, all running together, I figured if them other two gyps would've opened up then the other ones would've pulled to the lead, I could be wrong though, any ways I was impressed by that young gyp and was just curious about that blood. I will post a picture of her breeding here shortly and would like to know what yall know about, the good and the bad.

I have one out of bear which is a son of poacher . he is 8 months old now and a ball of fire . smart good nose and tough . I will know what kinda bear dog he gonna be in a couple months . from what I see in him he will be a top dog . I am very happy with him . I also have a hicks bred female from white deer kennels that is 2 and I really like her to . she seems to have a really good nose .

If Rob says he is a good pup then he is a good pup. I only met the man once and that was only for a brief minute but I got the feelin he'd been on that mountain a time or two. Now you I don't trust. Tryin to spoon with me in that camper ya weirdo. HAHA!justahunter wrote:I will .
