Mine are sure ready to hunt this fall. Not much longer until season opens and I will give you a call. That is your pup on top in the middle with the white spot.

Mine are running down pheasants in the back field.Until they see a few bears I imagine everything is going to be fair game. How bad did she get quilled?

Nice pictures. What bloodlines are your Plotts? Looks like you got the dog power to make those big boys climb!

Yes, I am in Idaho. The dogs I keep will try to make every bear they catch climb, it cost quite a bit of money at the vet sometimes, and they are out of commission healing up regularly if they run into rough bears. It does get aggravating sometimes being down to not enough dogs to hunt but I just can't bring myself to own dogs that just follow a bear through the woods walking along, and not trying to pressure it into climbing.

It's really hard to answer the breeding question as they are all at least somewhat related, but they are also slightly different. I try to only permanently keep dogs that I consider breeding quality, so I currently only have 3 adult dogs, and 3 pups. 3 are registered plots and the other 3
Have a little bit of English blood in them from dogs I bred 15-20 years ago. So many people would have to be mentioned that deserve credit for the breeding I would have to type a book. I enjoy talking dogs though, feel free to call if you are interested in the bloodlines. 208-659-9806

I was just curious. I have run a few Plotts but didn't like them as good as my Walker line. Though I had a Plott about 8 years ago that came from Kenny Jones from the coast she was doing really good but got killed by wolves. I know there are real good Plotts out there and am always curious what bloodlines they are etc. I know Joe and have hunted with him and if his Plott puts my dogs to shame, I will be beating on your door.
