I run telemetry on the same tt15 collars for a backup. Ive had problems with 3 of my collars not getting any signal. At home i turn on tt15 and don't take magnet out and all my collars work great. But i have two collars that work great with telemetry on. The telemetry has saved me a couple times when gps went dead.
Was wondering if anyone has had a problem like this.?
when i turn telemetry on i loose gps signal on collar. When i leave telemetry off i get gps signal. This has took a while to figure out the problem. I have updated everything as well. garmin has never heard of it. Ive searched online, and found one guy had a similar issue with tt10.
My frequency is 216.347
Any help Appreciated!!

Re: Alpha TT15 Telemetry messing up gps signal
When the first gps collars came out i did the the same thing for along time until i realized i could trust the gps collars. The thing i noticed about running both collars at the same time was I had to let the gps collar completely boot up before i removed the magnet. If i removed the magnet first my gps collar would never pick up a good signal. That was with the dc-40 collars.

Try to set your gps collar frequency as far away from your telemetry frequency as you can. Possible the collars that work are on the far end of the frequency spectrum from the telemetry collars. Just a thought.....

I'm having the same problem as you are describing. My telemetry is in the 216 frequency as well. I have 2 that work fine and 2 that lose signal when running it at the same time as the gps. But sometimes it will work for awhile and then stop working. How do you change your frequency on a Garmin collar?

Do you guys all wrong tag along style telemetry. I run alpha and telemetry never had a problem, only time I've seen it was with tag along style collars

Thanks for replys!
Yes they are tag along telemetry!
And I will try letting the gps boot up before I remove magnets. That might work!
I have tried changing ids. They have. Been driving me crazy. I have took the ones that don't work and left them off. I just like to have something to find my dog when the gps goes dead. You guys know how many dogs you go thru to find great dogs!! I'd just hate to loose one after gps went dead. Call me old school I guess. Still trying new things! Thanks

Re: Alpha TT15 Telemetry messing up gps signal
I think if you let your collars boot up 100% then take your magnets out you will notice a big difference. Also a lesson i learned the hard way (after frying about 20 gps collars) never use your VHF above 5 watt's while your gps collars or handheld are on. I was transmitting on 25-50 watts and burning my collars up. Costly lesson.
