Blow downs are no fun. I ran a cat last week in some steep nasty that had blow down over my head the cat was using to elude us.

Just keep plugging away and the dogs will eventually get enough pressure on him he will make a mistake. They'll do better next time.

Your dog's will learn how to deal with a Cat in blow down some dogs have different ways about getting the job done some ride up the cats ass following it right threw others go and head it off. Just keep putting them on game. Best of luck hope you end your season with a smile.

My best luck is head it off at the pass and turn it so it don't get into the blow downs. My dogs can not catch them in the blow downs.

I had a big majestic that would circle the blow down area looking for the out going track while my hard running Bluetick and Walker would end up hopelessly confused in the blow down

My hunting partners dogs did a great job today on a cat that did not want to tree, in a very steep, rocky & blow down area. Just about more than this old timer could muster getting in & out of that hell hole. When we arrived at the tree my thoughts were, dang good spot for a bob to elude these dogs. But they had the cat. Not sure how many more season in this old body, but plan to go as long as Tom will put up with me. Also treed one friday, nice tom that was pretty much a popup. Stay after them Al

I think the hard work and difficult journey is what is driving me. I have never put in so many hours towards something with out success and enjoyed failure as I do chasing after these smart cats. I learn more each trip even if I don't get to run one cat being in cat country is teaching me things.
