advantage of box over crate?

Aside from fitting more dogs, are there advantages to dog box over individual crates?

For the simple act of hauling a dog I would say no. However most dog boxes have easier door latches to deal with I think, then there are other things to consider-top storage, rig rail etc.

I have a pickup with a hard Tano cover and I love it. I just throw i. A bail or two of straw and they have a big area to get comfy. I can haul a lot of dogs
