Man I'm fighting trying to not upgrade lol I hate that damn 200i, screens so darn slow and it doesn't track my tt15's worth a damn. The only thing I like about it is the inreach.

They have longer battery life between charges. Other than that, I will stick to my 100 and 200 and buy another battery or two. If I need to buy new collars I will start buying the tt 25’s but I’m not gonna buy them just because they’re the newest thing out.

Is the inreach similar to onx hunt, does it show property boundaries and owner names etc?

Inreach is satellite communications, you can send texts ,check weather, hit a s.o.s button to get emergency help. Also you can set it up on a computer so your family can track your location.

Alright thanks, I was thinking of getting the onx chip for my alpha because a good majority of the time I don't have cell service

Hollow point, the onX chips only work with the Alpha 100. After that, Garmin screwed us and made their own maps. I don’t know how good they are but I highly doubt they’ll hold a candle to the onX maps.

I've got no complaints with the garmin hunt maps, Birdseye works good and land owners and most roads show up so I like it

That will work for me, I still use an Alpha 100, maybe it was the hunt maps I heard about. I'm guessing Garmin wanted to push onX out of their market and make their own chip. Just trying to decide which direction to go.
Thanks

That’s pretty much what I think, Hollowpoint. It’s a yearly subscription service and not a map chip system like the old OnX chips.

Well, this weather has been pretty nice. I’ve been at work since Sunday night and go home tomorrow morning. The wife got drawn for an antelope tag this year so we’re gonna head up above Elko, to Wild Horse Reservoir. This will be our first time hunting speed goats.

I’m trying to decide if I should take some dogs incase we cut a fresh lion track. I hear there’s a lot more lions up that way than where I’ve been hunting. But I don’t want to haul them up there then end up not using them.

Antelope is probably my favorite game meat, we haven't drawn i n 3years and have tons in my yard lol this year everyone in the house drew and got the option to each buy a doe tag so should be stocked up on antelope breakfast sausage.

Hell yeah! That’ll fill the freezer.
I’ve only had it once at my brother’s. It was good but had a burnt rubber aftertaste. I’m leaning towards that was a fluke deal because everyone says it’s really good. So this will be our first real experience with it. I’m pretty excited about it though!

Well it’s about time to break out the jackets and hoodies here. It’s down to 98 degrees here with heat index it’s 103 but the humidity is bad. I’ve never eaten antelope. I bet it’s good though. I local friend of mine has a nephew that comes down once a year or so from up north. He shot moose and had some summer sausage made. He went hog hunting with us and brought it. That was absolutely the worst stuff I’ve ever eaten. I could’ve thrown it on the ground and the dogs would’ve walked around it. It makes me wonder if it was bled off well. We always leave our deer and hog meat on ice for a week. We just drain the bloody water off and keep adding ice. They never have a gamey taste and the pork will get white in color.

I have done that with deer and hogs myself. I would only let it set for 3 days though. I have had elk on ice for a week and it was still good.

Well every bit of moose i have ever eaten has been delicious so maybe it was just poorly made sausage. We had a few days last week that only got up to maybe 70 it was great but now back to 80's and 90's...I'm over it!! Rowdy I would say something got melted on the cooking apparatus the meat was cooked lol as long as they are harvested efficiently and not wounded and ran antelope are absolutely delicious. If she's lucky enough that her guide gets her on one make sure to get the hide off and it cooled down quickly.
