i have a 3 month old plott pup and i came home from work today and she has a fluid filled mass on her right hind quarter about the size of a golf ball, no sore issues or cuts or puntures. any ideas

Sounds to me like a bruise. My old dog sam gets those once in a while usualy they go away after a few days but if it lasts more than 3 days I drain it and that takes care of it. They never realy bother him and he acts like nothing is wrong. Of corse his pain tolerance is way up there and he will fall asleep while I am sewing up his cuts with just a needle and thread...
