At 11 she can still get out infront of them young dogs and flat go. Turned out on a lion yesterday with just the younger girls at the extreme displeasure of may. They trailed slow a while then all of a sudden the race was on. Walk in and they have a bear treed. This weather is just crazy!

Merry Christmas everyone! What’s everyone’s thoughts on a pup ( 6 months) trailing up the other dogs opening and barking the whole way there until they catch up ? Let it go? Correct it? Seems like they always outgrow it but this one annoys me for some reason . Thanks !

I say let it go. Physical and mental maturity both will help that. It’s just frustration.

Merry Christmas!! I agree with lawdawg but if I don't like a dog early on I usually don't grow out of it lol. What are you chasing and in what conditions? Are u turning it out with the big dogs or after they have something going?

Just noticed I didn’t wish everyone a Merry Christmas. So, Merry Christmas everyone. I hope it’s a great one and the new year is even better.

Good morning, Gentlemen, Merry Christmas and happy New Year!

CWSharer: I have a 2 year old that I just “let it go” on. He’s still barking when the other dogs take off and he has to catch up. I recommend that you let the older dogs run for a bit to clean out then turn that pup loose before you put out on tracks or start free casting.

I have started correcting my dog with the E-collar and have started putting him on the ground after my fastest dog has had a chance to run a few miles to take the edge off. Then I will put the yapping one on the ground. This has reduced it a ton.

Thanks everyone! I like the dog a lot just not the barking haha! I am roading for varmints and she only does it when she gets behind or looses the dogs and has to trail them up . She is frantic about being with the bigger dogs, a bad case of FOMO haha . I will let it go for now and correct it later if it doesn’t correct itself I guess!

Had a great day, after the rolling shit show was over  dogs weren't acting like they could even smell a great tom lion track in great snow, eventually got him up, then tom bobcat really really made the girls work to catch him must have crossed the road 7 times after he was jumped! https://youtube.com/shorts/2TA_ulLFkg0? ... gFkzw4ne9e

Man Joe, I’m jealous of your success, you’re killing it man! I got out one day in the last 3 weeks and due to the Christmas shopping and lack of overtime at work, we’re broke. I have to stay home for a while. So I’ve been working on my truck and fixing the things I can fix without spending money.

I have been spending about $75 a day in gas to hunt. So I needed to figure out what’s been killing my fuel mileage. I believe it’s been bad sensors and the front end alignment. Hopefully I’ve got it fixed now.

Well its definitely been slower than I would like but can't complain to much! Rowdy the problem your having is solved simply....just don't look at your account balances  its definitely spendy to hunt everyday but fuel has gone down so its a tad more bearable. I've been hunting closer to home even though its not areas I enjoy hunting as much, I've been pleasantly surprised a few days with success in less than optimal areas. Break those potlickers off them yokes and fox and start targeting Bobcats they at least buy a tank or 2 of fuel when u tree one.
