Dog food prices . . . .

I went to buy a couple bags of dog food yesterday and found that the price of food had again gone up $1 per bag . . . . AGAIN ! ! !

In the past year the cost of dog food here is now five dollars more per bag then it was just a year ago.

Is everyone else seeing the same trends?

Yea I went to get a 55lb bag, and All they had was 44lb bags for the same price..

Guess they thought I wouldn't notice..

We made a complaint to purina about the difference of poundage from 50 or 55 to 44. It did not do any good. With the fuel prices the way they are there is not any commodity that will not increase or the manufacturer will have creative marketing to try to cover it up as in giving you less for more.
Personally I like honesty instead of smoke and mirrors to try to fool the ignorant populace.
What has happened to honesty?

since a year ago in may black gold dog food has went up $6 to 7 dollars a bag here.its $24 for 50lbs. i am now trying hi-standard that is only $20 for 50lbs.

the intresting thing is that corn crop is worth a record amount this year!

I went to get a bag of feed the other day and it had went up 2 $ making it 21$ a bag. I asked about it and the owner said yeah they had to go up because of delievery prices. I drove 8 miles down the road acouple days later to another place and the price was 18$ a bag. I said did the delievery charges not change for you all? They said nope. I know where I will be getting my dog food from now.

you guys are lucky up here the stuff i used to feed is no at around 40 bucks a bag, and it was just Ultra 24/20, now im feeding grocery store food for the summer because its all i can afford lol.

Mine went up $2 a bag before the biggest hike in gas prices! And I am now wishing I planted more corn! :wink:
