Ally's first blood trail at 14 weeks
An interesting Majestic story.....
I took my Ally girl out this weekend on her first blood trail......I went to one of my favorite hunting spots, and laid a very basic 20 foot trail with deer blood drops about every 1-2 feet...zig-zagged here and there, and had a bloody deer hide at the end.....When I brought her to the area approx. 25 minutes later, I walked her to the first sign of blood.......She stuck her nose down on it and went from drop top drop...when she got to the last drop she advanced forward a couple steps...stopped....put her nose up in the air, then back on the ground...made a sharp left, and jumped on the hide.......we played tug-of-war all the way back to the truck....I was so proud of her......I'll be working with her at least once a week ...gradually lenghtening the trails, stretching the blood further and further apart, and letting the blood trail age longer and longer......9/15 is opening day Archery in MD.....and then she'll get some practice on the real thing....
I'll get some pictures next time to share.
Stan.

She's doing exceptionally well with the girls......very gentle....Her paws are so big, and she has a tendency to "box" when she plays.......Let's just say she can knock me off balance when we are wrestling.......her legs keep stretching out, and her ears keep getting longer and longer.....
She''s a good girl......
