My blue is having some skin issues, at first I thought it was fleas then treated him, and he kept scratchin, and still is cause I dont know how to deal with what looks like dry skin.
He also has sores that are scabbed over, 1 on his chest and 2 near the upper rear of his arm pits, he has 1 on each side in the exact same spot.
I find it hard to believe he's makin em, so what is goin on and how can I get him healed up and stop all of his scratchn?
Thanks

There is a rule of thumb about antibiotics only use them as a last resort. I would do like Buddy said and change his food also put some blu cote on the sores. Then see if there is any changes. Also if a dog is bored they will scratch more on a sore then normal. Try moving him from a kennel to a chain or vice versa for a while.

well hell! I have been using cedar shavings for his dog box, switched out to oat straw. Got some stuff called "Calm Coat" the sores seem to be healing so I will hold off on the antibiotics, but will definitly keep them in mind.
Thanks ya'll the pup should be happier.
