You can feed a good dog for the same as a bad dog.
Hounds are a dime a dozen but a great one is worth their weight in gold.
B&T's watch it happen, Plotts don't know what happened but Walkers make it happen.
Only broke/guaranteed dog is a dead dog.
The better they are the more ways they can think of to kill out on ya.
90% of game caught is caught by the same 10% of hunters.
Those aren't tiger stripes their racing stripes!
"Don't get mad but I kicked your dog." "You kicked my dog? Why?" "Well I turned around and he looked like the Karate Kid all cocked back and ready!" My buddy got pissed on!
Don't let him start a track for you. He gets in there and gets so excited turning dogs out that he doesn't know if he's washing or hanging out.
Never let school stand in the way of my education.

"It either takes a smart dog or a really stupid dog to make a good bear dog.. I haven't figure out which one yet." Rod K.

Another time I was hunting with him my dog jumped out of the brush, hauled ass down the road then jumped back in the brush to tree it.. I was kind of mad that he left the track and didn't fight the briors and bushes.. That's when my old timer friend said.

"I wouldn't blame the Dog if he's smart enough to cut the race in half and still tree it.... I noticed you went around those briors..."

Hahaha! That's a pretty good one. I've seen dogs too slow-minded to figure out how to go through if you open the gate after they bump into the fence. They just keep going straight ahead if they didn't see the open gate before getting to the fence. I don't believe I've ever seen a good hound with that problem. They're usually smart enough to figure how to go around, over, or under any obstacle that tries to slow them down.

Ron Cole towards the end of a long day: I just saw your hound come by me and it was leakin oil pretty bad.

Kipp Addcock: A coyote musta went out the same way those deer went. I don't believe they were chasin those deer. Yote musta followed that deer herd back to us cause the hound is right behind those deer.

Timm Carr: let's just lead the hounds a little further on this trail to freshen it up a bit more. What's another hour of crawlin through the laurel with the hounds anyway"

Multiple sources: I know it's 4pm, but the track looks fresh. Do you want me to let him go on it.

I know were meetin at 5am but do you want to go out at 3:30am to look for tracks and see what's movin. Paul Conway.
