extreme hunting places and pics??

I was looking at another thread and didn't want to hijack it so I would like to start a new one. Catch had some pictures and made a comment about extreme hunting places and I was wondering what extremes everyone goes to to hunt and share some pictures if ya got any. Around here we don't have that much extreme hunting (to me). I mean within a hard days hike you can come to a road somewhere so we don't have big vast expances of land. If you packed your dogs in and stayed for a while the rabbit sherriff would have a field day with his ticket book on your tail so we mainly have to stay in there "designated" areas. Anyways, I thought it would be nice to hear about and see pictures of places that still are "wild"

About as "extreme" as it gets around here is a 45 min ride to the lake, 30 min boat ride and start hunting and then a 7 hour drag back to the boat.

A bear and hogs from acouple years back.

Hunter do you hunt east TN? Because that looks like Calderwood lake in those pictures.

It's Chilhowee Lake. I hunt Calderwood too.

My most extreme is getting the dogs loaded at 3am and not wakeing the wife and kids.

Those are some nice looking dogs Hunter. Speaking of extreme you said a 7 hour drag and it reminded me alot of the older bear hunters I know in our area talk about carrying them out instead of dragging. Now I don't believe that I could carry a decent bear out by myself but I figure it would be quicker if you were capable. Also would be considered extreme by some folks standards.

I have tried everything to get stuff outta the woods and the best way is to just quarter it up. I've heard of those guys that can throw a 250# bear on their back and walk out with it. I'm in purdy good shape and I can't carry one that big very far. We have used poles and tied them on like you were talking about and the dang pole will break. Drug em till there wasn't any hair on the things. The wardens don't like it but you can now quarter a bear up. Just have to bring out proof of the sex attached to the hide. I hid a cart I made 2 miles back 1 year and it got stolen. It was off a bluff chained to a tree with a lock on it. They shot the lock off of it and how they found it is beyond me. That was a nice way to get game in and out.
