Who do you think won the 1st Presidential debate?

What comments do you have on it if any?

I personally thought McCain was right on the money on all the topics discussed.

I also thought Obama was very rude in the way he interrupted McCain and reffered to him as "John" and not Senator McCain. Just shows a total lack of respect on Obama's part. :x I also noticed that Obama was not as good with his answers when he had to speak off the cuff and not read from a teleprompter. Makes you wonder if he could run a country without a script prepared for him.

Ok, not so sound like a smart ass, but those of you who believe Obama won, please tell me why? McCain didn't do the greatest but he out-classed, out-debated, and stuck to the points. Obama didn't answer a single question that was asked to him, he beat around the bush, redirected the question asked, and did nothing more than place blame in the hands of current president. The first thing Obama did when asked a question was spit out about four facts that sounded memorized. What really aggrivated me was that McCain kept calling Barack, Senator Obama, and Barack called McCain, John, as if they were buddies.

Please if you think Obama won, please say why because I don't even know how people can call it a tie, let alone a win for Obama.

Michael,
I agree 100% with you. I have absolutely NO respect for Obama. He is rude and the way he acted showed his lack of maturity and respect. Anyone who thinks he would make a good president after the way he acted is beyond me. He is like a spolied child! I cannot even imagine Obama sitting down and meeting with the world leaders and not getting his way. How would he handle that if he cannot remain tactfull in a simple debate? Scarey thought isn't it? Last night was more than obvious he has no clue what he is doing and will not be able to handle the top position of our country.

I watched the 20/20 show about how the two grew up and the men they are and there is absolutely no comparison who is the real leader and should be Commander & Chief. McCain's story was moving and showed he has endured through the toughest times and came out stronger and better and more disciplined for it. What has Obama endured? Paying off student loans to Harvard? A dad that was a deadbeat? Seriously they are night and day, "no pun intended."

I am asking everyone here on this board who knows McCain is our only choice for President to go out and campaign for him. Not only does your vote count, but getting other people to go out and vote also. It is going to be a very close election and we all need to make our voices heard! I am scared to death to think of what will happen to this great country if Obama is elected. If you think we are bad off now, just think of the next 4 years! Are you willing to take a chance on someone like Obama?

Best McCain line IMO was when he said that Obama's reluctance to admit the surge worked was reminicent of the current administration's inability to admit a mistake and adjust strategy accordingly.

OUCH! For a Democrat such as Obama, that one had to hurt!
