Shot this bear on the ground in front of the dogs this year.F&G seems to think that he may be over 20 years old.

Posted these pics on another forum but thought that maybe some of the members here might be interested in seeing them.

I didn't get to weigh him.Had to cut him up to get him out of the woods.He felt heavy on my back though.

Thats a huge bear,I would guess well over 500lbs.

Thanks for the compliments guys.To be honest with you I am not a very good judge of what he would weigh.I haven't killed alot of big bears.I hung him at a friends butcher shop,who is also a bear hunter,and he thought he was probably around 400lbs.

We killed one that wieghed 420lbs and that side picture of your bear looks bigger.
