alberta cougar outfitters

Post by semo swamper »

asking for honest thoughts and opinions. alberta seems the place to go to kill a big tom due to their quota system. do any of you have an opinion of which guide you would hire if it was your money on the line. also what makes them stand out from the others in your mind. i know there may be some "personal" connections or even some outfitters on here. just trying to do research as there will be alot of money and time on the line. feel free to p.m. me if you would rather not post in public. thanks to all.

I don't think anyone is giving the west chilcotin enough credit :( . I am sure we have as big of cats as anywhere in Alberta. Over the years there has been 26 B&C cats taken out of the valley I live in. Those are the cats that I know of. Alberta is great but not the end all be all af cougar hunting. But that being said I hear Byron runs a good show.

My vote goes to the crew over at TNT! I have been fortunate enough to hunt lions with Byron twice, and both times I got great cats. One cat scored 15 6/16" and the other went 14 15/16". Byron knows those cats like the back of his hand, and his pack hounds and guides are top notch! He owns 6 of the 24 non-resident tags, so good luck finding another outfitter in Alberta with that many tags.
