IDEA
I've been thinking of an idea.. want to run it by some of you folks.
I was thinking about making a shirt with the Top Ten Famous Houndsmen qoutes.. I would need to have people on this board give their best qoutes, and we would all vote the top ten qoutes.
The shirts would be sold and donate a large portion?? 25or 50% to a fund that helps fight for hunting rights?? Details would need to be worked out... between how much they cost me to make and how much effort I put into making them, and also where this board wants to see the $$ go.
This would need to be done by you guys through some kind of voting method..
I personally liked that thread, and would buy a shirt with some of those saying on it. but I don't want to just steal everyones ideas and try to make a buck either. I would want to see profit money go to a good cause, somewhere where everyone would benifit.
Let me hear your ideas.. Like it, dislike it, would or wouldn't participate. would or wouldn't buy it.
For kicks let's assume that we charged 15 bucks, and 1/2 of the money was put into a BiggameHoundsmen fund that we all decide how to spend that money. I don't want to get things too technical but it's just an idea I'm throwing out there..
Comments?? ??

I think it is a great idea. Someone who have to research and see who does the most for houndsmen rights. I know in Oregon you wouldn't want to donate to OHA... Does anyone belong to a local chapter of SCI? They are a huge group and if they could help push for houndsmen it would be good.
Maybe we should just start simple and make a poll on the best quotes..
Clever idea Buddy.. clever idea...

Have you checked to see how much the shirts would cost yet??
i have had a few shirts made with some of my pictures and the cheapest I could get that I found was around $12 a shirt. i'd research it a bit more, sounds like it could cost you money with $15 a shirt and 50% going to fund. didnt mean to try and shoot your Idea down might just want to raise the price a bit is all.

I've have access to shirts at wholesaler costs, and I have the Screens and equipment to make them myself. So I should be able to get them made for a very good price. These will probably not be full color designs. Good point If we want to get a multi-color design your right it will cost more.
If not I have other company's that I subcontract with and normally get a discounted price to have them made. And costco I think want something like $7.5 each for if we had enough to order more than 100.
I'm OK with charging more for the shirts, but the extra money should go to a good cause.
Two ways I was thinking about the money.. Either we create a nationwide club Here on this site, and appoint a Treasurer..and board.. etc.. to make desisions and spend money as needed or we send it to a club or clubs's that we agree on (easier)
something to Mull over on the weekend. I know I would wear a Top ten Hounds men qoute shirt as long as it wasn't something really cheezy..

good idea buddy. I think ladycathunters idea of having a poll on here to get the top ten would be the best. But the big question is where would all the proceeds go. A national hound rights group if there is one ?? or local or ?? that would be the big kicker.

excellent idea i like the idea and man i could get them ordered and give them out as xmas gifts. i would like to see it go to a national fund but that might be difficult so any group would be great maybe you could say that hey heres a donation from houndsman across the u.s. remember them when they might need help
dont care who you are or what you are just dont lie to me

I think the USSA Sporting Dog Defense Coalition, is doing the most for hound hunters in all the states. They should be considered.
