Giving Vaccines...

Post by Teun »

Hey all,

I was wanting to vaccinate my dogs but have never done it before. Is the injection simply into the muscle? Just below the skin? Where do you do it? Any info would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Teun

I give all my own vaccines and inject everything into the scruff of the neck. It's fairly simple if the dog will hold still for you. Be careful not to inject any air bubbles.

Just pull the loose skin up on the back of the neck and inject it right under the skin. It's pretty simple and saves lots of time and hastle, just doing it yourself I mean. Oh, and be sure to tell a vet that you vaccinate your dogs yourself. They love that LOL :D
