TEE_SHIRT FUNDRASER

Post by Buddyw »

OK, Let's talk about how to handle the Money from the tee-shirts.

Options I see.

1. Create a BigGameHoundsman account (club/group) with several members elected(voted) to control and direct the monies and send money as needed or voted on to other groups.

2. Just send it to a National group every x months such as USSA, or the Sporting dog colalition

3. Desperse to a couple smaller state groups which are fighting. (maybe you could choose from a list when you buy the shirts??..

Hmm.. problem with number 1 that I find is finding a few people who are willing to be in charge like that ;) and trustworthy....

Problem I see with # 3 is that everyone is going to think their state is more important.. I actually think it is a great idea... But that is because I live in Oregon and we need all the help we can get :D

Are there websites for the places is # 2? I suppose I could try and look them up...

no whats bad is i understood i just didnt realize i understood it. now does that make sense. truthfully i think i agree with lady. what ever you spend the money on you are going to catch flak. recomendation, if i may, flat out from the get go tell everyone no matter what the money is spent on to be happy with it or just dont buy a shirt. it is that simple now secondly start a section on your forum here not for posts but where you can post a photo copy of the receipts of what the money went to. with all that said all i want to know is how do i get an order form i plan on ordering several for xmas gifts

I think you may have a hard time justifying who's fight is more important. There are plenty of states doing battle like California, Maine, oregon, washington etc....

I say you go with a group like USSA because they seem to be involved in all the battles.

Here is the website for USSA

http://www.ussportsmen.org/

Now.... We would have to decided (if we could dictate) where this money goes.. All houndsmen issues or just hunting/sporting issues in general?

I think the U.S. Sportsmen's Alliance is a very good choice.

Looks like I'm out voted!! Isn't the first time, and won't be the last.

My vote is #3.. But that's only cause I was dissappointed with USSA during the Fight in Oregon. They listen to OHA and Deer and Elk Hunters, rather than the hound guys regarding the cougar deal, And frankly Deer and ELK hunters want dead cougars more than getting hound guys back in the woods.

I was a member of USSA and RMEF before and I still think they are a good groups, and we definately need a strong opponent of the HSUS, and anti's, I just prefer to see this money directed towrards dog hunting issues!

I'll be the first to admit I need to learn more about this USSA Dog collition. Because I don't have any experiences with them. If you do, Please let me know.. again I think they have good intentions.

Like Pete says, if there isn't too much work we can set up a vote and cut checks accordingly to the where we want it to go.

I really like the idea of number 3, but I just don't see how we could be civil about choosing what states it would go to.....

I just joined the sporting dog coalition.. Hopefully I will be able to get more info on it.. Anyone who knows more about it, please enlighten us...

like a checkoff on you taxes-

order form

X amount of money from sale of these shirts will be donated to one of the folowing groups

please check your choice

A
B

C

if you do not choose one- x amont of money will be donated to

--------

if u really wanted to get complicated
- u could ask them to suggest a prohound group when they buy a shirt

its more complicated--(more work )
but t mite be best solution

we dont want anybody to not buy a shirt becuse they think we are supporting wrong group , lol

i hear about laws pertaining to hounds from ussa-

u can go on their website and click on any state and search-

i mite not hear of them otherwise

when its antis vs houndsman they are on our side and its nationwide

thats the part im sure of

when its deer hunters vs houndsman they probably arent---we are outnumbered - they are going to support the majority of hunters

so im thinking it would be good idea to support ussa and some of the other state groups that would always be pro hound

this politics stuff really is tricky

i know how ya feel about deer hunters- me 2 ,

but ill take deer hunters over anti hunters anyday

-- chances are that everybody on this board has killed a deer -

but most of us dont consider ourselves deer hunters---

lol

technically , im a deer hunter-- id give up deer hunting the rest of my life if it meant i could get an extra week of training season for hounds
