Flea and tick repellant

search the ukc forums and search for beyer tree and shrub, its for trees but has the same stuff in other flea and tick but you buy it in a gallon for like 25 bucks

Yep... I finally broke down and tried it... Put it on the dogs twice last year and it seemed to keep them flea clear all year.. I think I might have found one or two ticks.. Just put it on the dogs last night and already they quit chewing on themselves...

I did 10 dogs 3 times with it, used it on my rosebushes and still have enough for probably 1 more dosing I don't think I spent more then $20.00 on it at Walmart..

I have used it. A friend i know works for the local animal control and the bayer tree and shrub is the same thing as advantage and you can used it on about everything. She uses it on every animal she has. I use it on my hounds, the pitbulls and on the cat. Works good. You dont want to get the roses one tho i dont think it will work. You put 20cc down the back between the shoulder blades for a 60lb dog. Its a white milky looking substance.

I kind of agree with spokerider.. it's all poison one way or the other.

dont like to but i'll use em.. need to do it right the first time so your not exposing dogs and yourself too much.

clean bedding/dogboxes/kennel etc at the same time.. spray them to kill eggs and larva and area around dogs.

never tryed it but diatomacious earth (stuff used in pool and fish tank filters) is supposed to kill fleas by scratching thier carapace and causing them to dehydrate.. never used it myself but might be worth a try, it's pretty cheap.. just dust em good and rub it in their coat they say.

Putting brewers' yeast or nutritional yeast on their food will help some. It is a more natural choice than the topicals, and my dogs think they are getting a treat. I buy brewers yeast tablets at the drug store, and you can buy nutritional yeast in the health food section of the supermarket..... I give four tablets to my 80 pound labrador every day. I've been thinking about trying the nutritional yeast, as you buy it in bulk and sprinkle it on their food. I think it would be cheaper, although the brewers yeast tabs are only a couple of bucks...
