Bad pads
Got a dog that every time he runs in between his pads he gets bloody and sore. Wondering what a guy does about this. is there any remedy other then rest.

He needs more excersise to toughen up his feet and pads. Most problems with feet are because dogs are kept in a kennel with a cement floor and not enough conditioning. If you can, keep your dog in a large (1/2) acre run and all your feet problems will go away.

Re: Bad pads
Full cry is right sore pads are caused from the lack of conditioning, exercise your dogs preferably on graveled roads. I had a dog that got sore pads everytime we hunted so I started running him on a gravel road everyday for 8 miles, now he does not have a sore pad problem. Another thing that you can do is put gravel in the kennells, where he has to walk around on it. That will toughen up his feet for sure. You can get on of the pooper scoopers that they use for horses to clean up his kennell. JMTC. Try it and I hope that it works out for you.
