Liz boys down in Texas when they kill a old Boar they cut him up and put him in a Ice chest and put a cup of vinegar and a quart of Lemon juice and Ice him down, and they do that for about 4 days when the water melts they put in more juice and vinegar if it starts to turn black stop the vinegar, keep icing that will pull all the blood out of the meat and it will taste like a young Shoat. Some of them guys on Texas Boars.com said they rather have a big boar then a small sow or shoat.

nope no dogs on this one, so no good story...I don't feel a bit bad about not having caught this one with the dogs as he would most certainly have made it a little rough on them (and me in the pocketbook). Just figured he had some impressive teeth you all would enjoy seeing. No, I'm not going to the field trial, every now and then I do but they are really not my thing, but good luck to all who go and I hope the weather gets decent for the weekend
