Dean, I don't think that website has been updated for a few yrs..... it says the dog is 11 but if you look on his papers he was born in 95 and should be 13 now turning 14 this spring. hes bred right imo, but I doubt hes still breeding, or can or who knows......everything seems to be outdated a few yrs on the site.

Two of my three best dogs of all time were grandchildren of Loose Bruce.
I first became acquainted with Loose Bruce in the early 90's when my hunting buddies bought a pup from Bruce. This pup was as pretty as they come...probably the most beautiful Walker I have ever seen. Elvis was a tall, blanketback with the prettiest and most striking color contrast that I have ever seen. His white was pure white, his black was jet black, and his tan remarkable.
I got a female pup (Shasta) from an accidental breeding between Elvis and an older female. Elvis was only about a year or so old, so we did not know what to expect from the litter.
At just 3 months old, I was roading Shasta (and a 5 month old male of other bloodlines) as if they were broke dogs. While roading, she struck, ran and treed her own coon at four months old, was baying a hog at 6 months old, and at 9 months, started, trailed, jumped, ran and treed a bobcat on a frosty night. In her short life, she had many bear, hogs, coon, and bobcat to her credit. Sadly, Shasta died two weeks shy of two years old from blood loss resulting from a foxtail digging into an artery.
My next great Bruce dog was a male out of Elvis and my female from Oregon catdog breeding. Dodger was a pretty blanketback with red instead of tan. He started very early and was a natural big game dog. He had tremendous heart, guts and grit and never quit no matter how long the race or how badly cut he was. He struck out of the rig from a young age, had a pretty mouth and treed hard. He was killed at 7 years of age by a car while running a bobcat.
At this time, I have a 8 year old granddaughter of Bruce, a 5 year old grandson of Bruce (on top)/great-grandson of Bruce (on bottom), a 2 year old great-grandson of Bruce, and two great-great-granddaughters of Bruce. I wish I had more of his blood.
My old hunting buddies had several dogs from Elvis as well, and each was a top dog in its own right. Elvis was a very reliable reproducer who threw blanketbacked and broad-chested males. His pups had exceptional grit, started early, and were almost born broke from running trash. Their greatest failing in my opinion was their excessive aggression on game; they did not give hogs enough respect and were cut or killed as a result.
If other owners of Bruce-bred dogs have had similar success as myself and my old hunting buddies, then I believe Loose Bruce is the most underrated Walker stud in the history of the breed.

Re: NEW LOOSE BRUCE BRED PUP!!!!
Thanks houndude, I'll be waiting for that litter to be born. It's hard to find dogs that are bred that way now days.
Re: NEW LOOSE BRUCE BRED PUP!!!!
Hi hounddude,
I would certainly be interested, as I don't believe there can be too much Bruce blood in a dog's ancestry!!!

If you wanted to breed your 8 year old grand daughter of Bruce to Willy. I'd get it lined up for a pup. What's her 2 generation ped. Where you located. Mark
