Breeding question??

I have this dog that I got from Harvey Klein. He got her when he bought out Bob Butzler (these are well known bear hunters in Northern Wisconsin). She has gotten old and slow but she made it through her two previous owners packs without being culled. I would like to breed her and I have a male lined up. The problem is that I can't seem to catch her in heat. When I took her to the vet in July she said she was going through a false pregnancy and it would probably be around October before she was back into heat and it may be hard to catch. But she was breed able. I have been wiping her with toilet paper to spot bleeding since October. I have her kenneled next to 4 males, still to no avail. Any suggestions on how to bring her into heat??? Is there a shot or drugs to do it? Any help would be appreciated- thanks in advance.

Good luck on this one. The only thing I might suggest is put her in with another female that is in heat. Sometimes this brings another female in heat. Old females sometime just shut down and don't go into a normal heat cycle.
